In the late 1800's, an Italian immigrant started offering masonry services in the area that has become West Boylston, starting what became Mercurio Masons. Our family assisted in construction projects such as Clinton Dam and the causeway over the Wachusett Resevoir, and dug and built many stone foundations for homes all over Worcester county.
With history going back over a century, Mercurio Masons' roots are still strong and foundation still intact. Third generation owner operator mason Donald F. Mercurio and fourth generation son Andrew R. Mercurio still carry the stone heritage today in West Boylston, doing work that ranges from stone walls and foundation repair to restoring historic sites such as the Springdale Dam built in 1867.
