Minimum Requirements to start your new Career in Transportation
AGE- While many states allow those 18 & Older to drive trucks within state borders, federal regulations require drivers crossing state lines to be at least 21 years of age.
PHYSICAL CONDITION- A student must be able to pass a physical and drug test to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate.(D.O.T. Card)
VISION- A driver must have a minimum of 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without corrective lenses, and have 70 degree field of vision in each eye. Drivers may not be color blind.
CRIMINAL/DRIVING RECORD- Records must be brought to the school for a confidential evaluation.
