Boston Photographer Ilene Perlman has been photographing people and travel for clients within the editorial, educational and corporate world for over 20 years. With wide experience working for magazines, international organizations, travel companies, and corporate/foundation clients, her photojournalistic style brings a fresh eye to every assignment.
Her international assignments have led her from remote villages in India to the north central highlands of Ethiopia. Shes used to hopping on a plane within days, encountering the unexpected and coming through. Even an airline strike didnt stop her from arriving on time for an assignment in Sicily.
Her work as a Boston photographer can be found in leading editorial publications, marketing materials for the travel industry and for several global travel companies, and in advertising and annual reports. As the main photographer for the past six years for Elderhostel and a frequent contributor to ONE Magazine Ilene has also worked on other worthwhile and inspiring projects such as the Arthur Blank Foundation and Target's Community Awareness Foundation Awareness Campaign.

Ilene was commissioned to do a series of murals for the main lobby of Eyetech Pharmaceuticals. The series is called Eyes of the World. She was also commissioned by New York University because of her extensive travel experience to photograph their study abroad programs in Ghana, Shanghai, and Buenos Aires.
