We are fortunate to live in an era where there are safe, effective, comfortable procedures available to improve our appearance and the signs of aging and sun damage. However, these services are not without their risks. For this reason, it is very important that your treatment be performed by a trained, board-certified physician, in a specialty dealing specifically with dermatologic and cosmetic issues. All injectable procedures including Botulinum toxins Botox®, and Xeomin®, as well as fillers Restylane®, Perlane®, Belotero®, Juvederm® and Voluma® at Krauss Dermatology are performed only by our board-certified dermatologists. Our physicians have been chosen to instruct other physicians in injection techniques including the Cannula Technique at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and others. In addition the Vbeam vascular laser, the Pixel resurfacing laser and the Coolsculpting® noninvasive fat removal procedures are also performed by our physicians. Our IPL procedures, SmoothBeam laser and laser hair removal, are safely performed by our nurse with over 20 years of dermatology experience, but are always done with the physician present at the office for discussion and evaluation of any concerns or questions. There are many procedures marketed whose benefits are marginal, without scientific or clinical proof of their results. Our practice seeks out only the most effective and successful procedures with the best safety records. During your treatment, we strive to make you as comfortable as possible, using numbing medications, cooling and other techniques to minimize discomfort and decrease risks such as bruising and swelling. We encourage our patients to return for touch-ups if necessary to improve results or to utilize our VBeam laser post-injection to hasten resolution of a bruise. Most importantly, our guiding principle is to improve your appearance in a natural, beautiful way, without overdoing it, or making your treatment look obvious.
