Information for writers and authors!

Sign my Guest Book below. I'd love to hear from you, especially from those who purchased my books or e-books! Giving me a review on www.amazon.com or wwwbn.com would be a thrill. The more reviews, the higher an author climbs up to be noticed.

I wanted to start a news corner with the updates of my events with how I'm promoting and marketing. Authors realize that the writing was the easy part. It's the promoting and marketing that is the battle, especially to build up your platform.

Saturday, October 23rd, I had a speaking engagement and book signing at the Dighton Library at 395 Main Street in Dighton, MA. There were seven people who came to the event. I talked about my 35 years living in North Dighton and how my memoirs revolved around my life and my alcoholic marriage. We were blessed with two daughters, Debbie and Lori Lopes. On November 22, 2006, we lost Lori at 39 years of age to alcohol abuse. Her father died in 1985 at 45 years of age to the same demon.

My three memoirs; A Healing Heart, Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round; and Please, God, Not Two were sold and autographed.

I stopped at Readmore Books on Winthrop Street (Rte 44) in Taunton, MA to visit the owner, Eric Easterday, He informed me that they sold 9 of my books. I autographed four more and left them there. This is one bookstore where the family and staff members work hard for the authors.

Wednesday, October 27th, our group "Authors Without Borders" will be interviewed by Brian Lowney from the Southcoast Insider about our group and our services. The date will be posted with the article.

Do you need a speaker on "The Effect of Alcoholism on the Whole Family?"

Are your employees having too many absent days from alcohol abuse? This isn't just a problem with businesses; police departments, hospitals, schools, town employees and the military service; other employers are trying to combat this problem. This is a worldwide disease. It's not that it may, would or could kill; it will. Alcohol abuse is high on the list for abusers losing their families, jobs, friends, their lives, getting into accidents, or being arrested. There is a way to educate with different methods. The best is a long recovery program.

The abusers seem to relate to a person who is not a professional counselor or a trained speaker. Alberta Sequeira is an ordinary woman who lost a husband and daughter from this killer. Invite her to reach out to the abusers struggling with this demon. She speaks from the heart on "The Effect of Alcoholism on the Whole Family."

Email memoirs@albertasequeira.com to schedule a speaking engagement with Ms. Sequeira.
