Children should have their first eye examination with an optometrist by age three, and annual eye examinations thereafter. This will assure the best possible vision and normal eye development. Many vision problems such as Amblyopia ("Lazy Eye") or focusing disorders, as well as other visual conditions not detectable in "Vision Screenings" can be found during the annual optometric eye examination.
