Iontophoresis and Phonophoresis are alternative non-invasive , pain-free treatment to deliver medication through the skin. Iontophoresis uses electrical current to drive positively charged drug molecules through the skin and into the tissue. Phonophores utilizes ultrasonic energy to deliver medication to underlying tissue. If you suffer from chronic joint, neck or back pain, Iontophoresis or Phonophoresis is an excellent therapy to augment your rehabilitation program.
Myofascial Release is a very effective hands-on technique that provides sustained pressure into myofascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. The fascia is a specialized system of the body that has an appearance similar to a spider's web or a sweater. Fascia is very densely woven, covering and interpenetrating every muscle, bone, nerve, artery and vein as well as all of our internal organs including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord. The most interesting aspect of the fascial system is that it is not just a system of separate coverings it is actually one structure that exists from head to foot without interruption.
Lumbar Traction is a physical modality that provides a distracting force along the vertebral column in an effort to relieve pain associated with a protruded or degenerated intervertebral disk. Traction can be applied while the patient is supine or prone. Distraction forces of at least a quarter of the patients body weight are used, and much greater forces may be required to effect vertebral distraction. Lumbar traction may be applied intermittently, using an on-off cycle, or continuously.
Cervical Traction is used when neck pain results from muscle spasm or tension that causes narrowing of the spaces between the vertebrae. This stricture places pressure on the nerves in the area, a condition commonly known as a pinched nerve. Cervical Traction is used to stretch muscles forcing them to relax resulting in a break from the neck pain/spasm cycle.

Note: Always see a doctor before using this methodology.
Paraffin Bath Therapy soothes the pain of arthritis, joint stiffness, inflammation, sports injuries, muscle spasms, and dry, cracked skin. Intensive moisture therapy helps nourish skin; penetrating heat helps sooth aching joints, relax stiff muscles, and relieve work-weary hands. Heavy-duty, hospital-grade construction and materials.

To use, just dip the affected area hands, elbows, or feet in and out of the bath of warm, soothing Theraffin . Penetrating heat soaks deep to relieve the pain in stiff joints and aching muscles. After about 15 minutes, the Theraffin can be easily removed.
Work Hardening is a highly structured goal-oriented, individualized treatment program designed to return a person to work. Work Hardening programs, which are interdisciplinary in nature, use real or simulated work activities designed to restore physical, behavioral, and vocational functions. Work hardening addresses the issues of productivity, safety, physical tolerances, and worker behaviors.
Therapeutic Exercise is the systematic implementation of planned physical movements, ] postures, or activities designed to:

In both RA and osteoarthritis (OA) patients, common impairments to be addressed by therapeutic exercise are decreased strength, range of motion, and cardiovascular endurance.
Therapeutic Massage is the process of applying various manual (hand) techniques to the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and a form of connective tissue called fascia. These techniques include kneading, tapping, compression, vibration, rocking, friction, and the application of controlled pressure.
Joint mobilization is the use of skilled graded forces to move a joint in a desired direction. It is usually used to improve motion and normalize joint function but it may also be used to help control pain.
Therapeutic Ultrasound is a modality that is commonly used by athletic trainers. It is a valuable therapeutic tool for the rehabilitation of many different injuries because it stimulates the repair of soft tissue injuries and relieves pain. Ultrasound is a form of acoustic energy and is defined as inaudible acoustic vibrations of high frequency that may produce either thermal or non-thermal physiological effects.
Functional Electrical Stimulation(FES) is the application of electrical currents to either generate or suppress activity in the nervous system. This technique is known as functional electrical stimulation (FES). FES can produce and control the movement of otherwise paralyzed limbs, for standing and hand grasp; activate visceral bodily functions, such as micturition; create perceptions such as skin sensibility; arrest undesired activity, such as pain or spasm; and facilitate natural recovery and accelerate motor relearning.
