Stained glass supplies, art and architectural glass, stained glass how-to books, and unusual items since before many of you were born.

Unique among stained glass supply stores, we're quite certain that we are the only store -- of any kind -- that offers stained glass, etching stencils, wiggle eyes, lead came, hatpins, jack chain, whiskey labels, breaker/grozier pliers, pressed flowers, sticky heads, solder, and much, much more, all under one roof. And they are, indeed, literally all under one roof, here in Rockland, Massachusetts. In other words, we are not merely an Internet store, but a real, live place that you can come visit and explore. Our real, live staff would love to meet you.

Whittemore-Durgin began as a plate glass company in 1924. We began offering stained glass, tools, supplies and instruction to the general public in the late 1960s, back in the day when such things had only been available to professional stained glass craftspeople.

Since then, hundreds of thousands of stained glass hobbyists, from beginner to advanced, have bought their stained glass and supplies from Whittemore-Durgin, many of them returning year after year. Nearly every day we get a phone call, e-mail, or visit in our store in Rockland, Mass., from someone who says, "I got my start back in the 70's with Whittemore-Durgin," or, "I used to buy stained glass from you 30 years ago. I'm so glad to know you're still here!"

We still offer hundreds of patterns and kits for stained glass lampshades, stained glass windows, and suncatchers; as well as tools and supplies for all your stained glass craft needs. We carry:

stained glass from Wissmach, Spectrum, Youghiogheny and Uroboros;
a large variety of stained glass tools from Inland, Diamond Tech, Esico-Triton and Fletcher-Terry;
copper foil from Venture Tape;
solder from Victory White Metal;
stained glass books from CKE, Wardell, Dover, Suzanne Cooper and others;
hundreds of kits and patterns from Clarity, Carolyn Kyle and Bradley Base Products;
and our very own line of premium quality lead came.

With such a large inventory you might think we're a large company, but we're not. If you call us, you'll almost always talk to Nancy. Your order will be carefully packed by Kathrene. The owners, Kevin and Kathy, answer the phone and pack orders when things get busy. Roger cuts the glass and does stained glass repair and custom work in our studio. And Mr. Early A. Consternation, Manager of Externals, still responds to your kind letters from time to time.
