The Woburn Montessori School was founded as a nonprofit corporation in 1986 with the primary purpose of the school being to provide an educational environment, based on Montessori principles, for preschool and kindergarten children between the ages of 2.9 - 6 years. We have relocated for the start of the 2007-08 school year, from the former Plympton Elementary School Building, our site since 1991, to our expanded location at 8 Summer Street. Our new classrooms are cheerful, well lighted, and spacious for the children. A large play yard is attached for our outdoor activities. For fall 2007 grades one and two have been added to our Montessori programs.
The Woburn Montessori School is operated by a volunteer board of directors consisting of parents, staff members, and responsible members of the community. Principal funding for the operation of the school is provided through tuition, although the nonprofit status of the school will permit it to accept donations that are tax deductible for the donor.
