Established in 1966, The Simon Companies has been a leader in the development and management of commercial and residential properties throughout the Northeast. Over the past five decades, The Simon Companies and its principals have developed over 7,000 residential units and commercial properties in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
In more recent years, The Simon Companies has continued to expand its portfolio of quality properties by actively acquiring existing residential and commercial developments. In response to changing market trends and conditions in the Northeast, The Simon Companies diversified its portfolio with the development of several condominium communities throughout Massachusetts. The Simon Companies, through its property management affiliate, has also assumed the management of several condominium projects developed and built by other companies.
Based in Braintree, Massachusetts, The Simon Companies has over 90 employees and continues to be privately owned and controlled by members of the Simon family under the direction of its founder, Franklin W. Simon, and his son-in-law, John G. Snyder. The Simon Companies currently owns and manages over 2,300 residential apartments and four commercial office buildings in three states with a gross value in excess of $150 million.
Over the next few years, The Simon Companies will undertake a multi-million dollar renovation project of many of its older residential properties, in addition to the development of Bay Ridge, a new $30 million, 55 and over, gated residential condominium community located just outside of Newport, Rhode Island.
