Duxbury Chimney Sweep

It has been my experience that the average person feels that if they do not have or use a fireplace or wood stove, that it is not necessary to have their chimney swept. This however is not true. The National Fire Protection Agency has NFPA Code 211 in which it states, Chimneys, fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year. Connectors, spark arrestors, cleanouts, and tee fittings connected to chimneys for oil, gas and pellet venting systems shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness and deposits. Cleaning, maintenance, and repairs shall be done if necessary. They have also incorporated levels of inspection that were introduced to them by this industry which are outlined in my section called Chimney Safety.
