The Abbott Center began in 1991 as a private practice dedicated to the hands-on treatment of chronic pain. Inspired by a childhood desire to help patients with diseased muscles lead a more normal life, Christina Abbott is fulfilling her dream through her thriving treatment center.
Although Neuromuscular Therapy is the focus of The Abbott Center, the gifted staff offers a wide range of services to promote well-being for those who are healthy as well as to support those who are learning to manage their chronic pain, muscle tension, and stress.
Conveniently located off Rt 128 in Westwood, MA, The Abbott Center is highly rated in Metro Boston and Massachusetts for Neuromuscular Therapy, Neuromuscular Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Deep Tissue Work, Pregnancy Massage, Energy Healing, Active Isolated Stretching, Private Yoga, and Pilates on spring-resisted equipment.
The Center also offers CLASSES: Pilates Mat (Power Pilates and Stott methods), interesting Mind-Body Practices and the nationally acclaimed MBSR program (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction).
Workshops address topics of interest for stress reduction, pain relief and wellness. Look for special events and opportunities to experience the power of meditating in a group setting.
