My Brother's Keeper Hole-in-One Shootout, September 17-19

This is the first day of qualifying at Golf Country in South Easton, Massachusetts. Participants buy buckets of balls that they try to hit into a six-foot circle around a pin 125 yards from the tee. Participants receive a token for each ball they put inside the circle, and that determines how many shots they get in the semi-final round. Anyone who makes a hole-in-one during the qualifying rounds automatically advances to the final Shootout.

Qualifying continues on the range at Golf Country. Again, anyone who makes a hole-in-one on the qualifying range automatically advances to the final Shootout.

During the morning semi-final round at Golf Country, the 25 participants whose shots land closest to the pin advance to the final Shootout,where they get one chance to win $1 million by sinking a hole-in-one on a 165-yard practice hole at Easton Country Club.

From Noon to 6:00 PM on July 31, Golf Country in Easton, MA will be celebrating Family Fun Day. Throughout the day we will have a summertime cookout lunch, games, music, raffles, popcorn, face painting, and cotton candy. In addition, with the purchase of an entry ticket you will enjoy round of mini golf and two batting cage tokens. All proceeds of the raffle will be donated to My Brothers Keeper (mybrotherskeeper.org).

Golf Tip of the Week #3 and Junior Clinic Information

In this week's tip of the week, Joe Rocha tackles the swaying issue that has plagued many golfers' swings. If you are looking for Joe to improve your child's golf game or just get them interested in the sport be sure to enroll them in his Beginner Junior Summer Clinics. Information is listed below:

Golf Country's Beginner Junior Golf Clinic
-Tuesday, July 20th (9 am- 11 am)

Joe Rocha, PGA Teaching Professional is running a one day clinic in which juniors will learn the correct way to grip and swing the club. They will learn to drive, putt, chip, and hit iron shots. All range balls and clubs are included with the camp. Following the camp, the JRs will play a round of Mini-Golf and get an Ice Cream at Richardsons.

1 Round of mini golf, 2 batting cage tokens and 1 kiddie-sized ice cream cone
$5.00 per child 12 years and younger
Where: Golf Country Easton, off Route 138 South Easton
When: June 17, 2010, 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Summer Fun Gift Baskets will be raffled off!
