Old Cambridge Baptist Church welcomes you!
Old Cambridge Baptist Church is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts three blocks south-east of the redline Harvard Square T-Stop. We are a progressive and inclusive Christian community in the American Baptist tradition that seeks to answer God's call to hold fast to love and justice for all the earth and its peoples.
OCBC has been a welcoming and affirming church since 1983. We invite people from all backgrounds and walks of life to worship with us on Sunday mornings and in our daily lives.

Below is the result of an exercise in prophecy from our Adult Education class, which is studying the book of Amos on Sunday mornings after the church service.
A Collective Contemporary Prophecy from the Class on the Book of Amos
Virginia Wallace, scribe and poetess.
Woe to the agribusinesses who advocate laws that hurt small farmers,
And mistreatment of animals.
Woe to chemical companies and the wealthy.
Woe to congress giving the wealthy ten percent tax breaks.
Woe to Republicans and other politicians who go along with this.
Pitting two anti-hunger programs against each other.
Woe to people living in luxury, while others starve.
Woe to those who give themselves raises
While firing or underpaying employees or sending work overseas.
Woe unto you who destroy the food chain and the aesthetics of Gods creation
Woe to those who have driven the farmers from their farms,
Woe to those who have just enough to eat
And dont think about those who have even less.
You feast today and enjoy wealth today,
But tomorrow you or your sons and daughters will go hungry, says the Lord.
Woe to those who fight among themselves
Arise, boycott! Return to righteousness.
The hungry will rise up.
The consumers will boycott your products, says the Lord.
Your buildings, bridges and thoroughfares will collapse, says the Lord.
Not one of them shall escape.
I will fix my eyes on them for harm and not for good.
The terror you have visited on other people in the name of helping
Is now visited upon you.
The eyes of the Lord are upon your sinful empire.
I will destroy it from the face of the earth.
Our Sunday worship services begin at 10:30 AM. We are located at 1151 Massachusetts Avenue and 400 Harvard Street (our building spans the block) in Cambridge, MA. The church building is just south-east of the Harvard Street T-Station, on the Central Square side of Harvard Square. We hope to see you soon!
