Simmons is a highly respected small university with a cherished history of visionary thinking and social responsibility.
Located in the heart of Boston, Simmons College encompasses the many benefits of a small university in the nation's best "college town." For more than a century, Simmons has offered a pioneering liberal arts education for undergraduates integrated with professional work experience. Today, we also offer renowned coeducational graduate programs in health studies, education, liberal arts, communications management, social work, and library and information science. Our MBA program is designed specifically for women.
At Simmons, we honor an educational contract to place students first. Our hands-on curriculum integrates intellectual leadership, career preparation, and community orientation, because all three approaches are necessary for success. We are proud of our welcoming, collaborative community that encourages dialogue, action, and respect—and that makes the Simmons experience as thoughtful as it is thought provoking.
We invite you to explore our website to learn about our campus, community, and programs, and then make an appointment to visit Simmons and see it for yourself.

Meet Sonya, sophomore nursing student
Although it was our first meeting, it felt like Sonya and I were old friends catching up over a cup of coffee. She's laid-back, extremely articulate, and she offers a unique perspective on the whole "going to a women's college" thing. Plus, she made it past her first year as a nursing major... and lives to tell the tale!

Simmons student has passion for drumming
Andrea Davis '12 created this video as an assignment for her Communications Technologies class. Professor Judith Richland says it was the first time many of the students had shot and edited video. We're very impressed with Andrea's multimedia skills, but what's even more impressive is her unique passion.

Find your calling at the Majors Fair
Some of Simmons' most popular undergraduate majors include Nursing, Communications, and Psychology. However, we have more than 40 majors, minors, and programs for students to explore.

Simmons crew races in the Charles River Regatta

Visit Simmons at a local college fair
Did you know that our undergraduate admission counselors spend the majority of the fall traveling to college fairs across the U.S.? It's one of the best ways for them to meet with high school students who may be interested in attending Simmons.

Celebrating our founder
The Simmons community honored John Simmons' birthday during the annual Founder's Day celebration. The College unveiled the new class flags and provided plenty of cake and activities for everyone's enjoyment. After all, it is the College's founder whose influence has shaped Simmons into a world-class institution.

See what it's like to be a Simmons Shark
Wondering what a Simmons athletic career could offer you? How about a chance to play a competitive sport for four years, while still having the opportunity to achieve everything you want to academically? One advantage of competing at a women's college is that women's teams don't have to take a back seat to men's athletics.
