On the one hand it seems too early to be focusing on decorating a tree, but I am really looking forward to the Festival of Trees next week at the Historical Society. The Cottage has participated in this event since it's inseption in 2008.
What a difference a sound makes. As I sit here transitioning from Festival of Trees to budget review, it strikes me that the sounds of a center may be very different from those in most offices.

The Cottage Children's Center had a float in the Labor Day Parade. The theme for the parade was Marlborough 350th anniversary. Our theme was "Celebrating Marlborough's Shoe Industry with a number of shoe related stories

Teddy Bear portraits will be at the Cottage on Monday and Tuesday, November22nd and23rd for picture viewing. You can view the pictures and purchase whatever packages you want. You are under no obligtion to buy.
The Cottage Children's Center will be participating in the Marlborough Holiday Helper program. Each year we sponsor about 12 children. Starting November 1st we will have a holiday tree in the lobby. There will be about 6 gift request on the tree for each child. They look like ornaments. You take the ornament, write on the log book your name and the child's name on the ornament, purchase the gift and return it to the center unwrapped with the ornament attached. We collect all the gifts and deliver them to the Holiday Helper office mid December.
FESTIVAL OF TREES
The Cottage will be participating in the Festival of Trees again this year. Each family is giving an ornament to decorate which is added to the tree. The trees will be on display the weekends of November 27th& 28th and December 4th& 5th at the Marlborough Historical Society. It is a beautiful fun event for families. The children love voting for the trees. Please vote for us!
