VACUUMSPK Vac & Sew sells both residential and commercial vacuum cleaners. We have over 25 vacuums on display. Come in and find the one thats fits your needs.
We are authorized dealers for the following brands:
Most makes and models of vacuums are serviced on premises; with most repairs completed in just a few days. Built-In or central vacs can be serviced simply by calling and scheduling an appointment.
Don't think its important to have a good sealed HEPA vacuum? Check out this site from the EPA. http://www.epa.gov/asthma/dustmites.html. Basically it says that we all have dust and within the dust live dust mites. These dust mites leave behind (and this is the gross part) feces and body parts. The remains is what causes allergic reactions and can trigger asthma in adults and children even those who have never exhibited symtoms before.
Tip: If you employ a housekeeper, a cleaning company or a traditional "cleaning lady" have them use your own vacuum cleaner. If they bring their vacuum from house to house they could be spreading germs, bacteria and who knows what else from other peoples homes into yours. Have a dedicated vacuum to your own house and get it serviced regularly.
Buying without trying. A vacuum store will have a variety of floor surfaces to try out different vaccums that will fit your needs. A big box store will only have models for display purposes only and no one there to discuss which vacuum is best for you.
Buying a bagless vacuum cleaner. All bagless vacuums will leak dirt. That dirt will end up in the air that you are breathing or back on the floor, which defeats the whole purpose of vacuuming in the first place. If you currently have a bagless vacuum and you can see dirt build up on the outside of the vacuum, that is a leak. Not good for your lungs or floors.
Buying from a store that does not service or repair vacuums. What good is a vacuum cleaner if you can't get it fixed if something goes wrong, even under warranty. Buying from a local vaccum cleaner dealer will ensure you can get the parts, service and accesories. In most cases repairs are done within 24 hours if purchased here.
Relying only on a leading consumer magazine for vacuum cleaner recommendations. Although we suggest customers gather all the information available, we also suggest that you talk to your local vacuum dealer to get real world data on reliability. Keep in mind the tests done by researchers are in a labratory using brand new out of the box vacuums for a limited time. In our opinion the testing should be done in homes with kids, dogs, cats, people with breathing problems and different floor surfacess. In other words, real life testing.
