Southbridge Savings Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. The unlimited coverage applies to all personal and business checking accounts that do not earn interest (including Demand Deposit DDA accounts), low interest NOW accounts, official items, and IOLTA accounts. Effective July 1, 2010, NOW accounts maximum rate of interest under the program reduced from .50% to .25%)

July 21, 2010 FDIC deposit insurance permanently increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor for all account categories.
