Welcome to the home page of Burncoat Baptist Church. On this page you will find a greeting from
our pastor as well as information regarding current sermon series, ongoing events, upcoming
events and ongoing ministries.

Grace and peace to you from Burncoat Baptist Church! I am happy that you have taken the time to visit this site and
learn more about our ministry as well as our activities and events. Our mission is to bring the Gospel to as many people as
we can so they will accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. As Jesus himself commanded in the Gospel, “Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

We are a welcoming church in the sense that we welcome any person from any walk of life to enter the doors and hear
the Word of God. We are happy for all who come in! We preach the Word in unswerving truth and love but we are NOT
judgmental. After all, each member of Burncoat Baptist Church (including myself) was dead in sin prior to accepting Jesus
Christ as Lord and Savior. But preaching and believing the truth is not being judgmental. We at Burncoat Baptist Church
want what Jesus wanted for you—that you come to Him in faith and repentance and be saved. Therefore, you are welcome
as you are, sin and all, because Jesus came to save sinners!
“While Jesus was having dinner...many tax collectors and “sinners” came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?”... Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick...For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Matthew 9: 11—12)
I hope that you will allow the Gospel message to set you free and that you will accept Jesus Christ as your Savior! It is
in acknowledging we have sinned that we take our first step. Jesus didn't die on the Cross for nothing; He died to save us
from our sin. We can't save ourselves. Only Jesus saves and He is waiting for you to accept Him in faith...and He is ready
to forgive the truly repentant heart! It is our mission to bring the life-saving message of Jesus Christ to a local and world
wide audience of varying ages, cultures and races. Our doors are open wide to all. I invite you to join our church family
where together we will grow in the love, knowledge and grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
