Open to the public, fun for the whole family with skiing, skating, snow shoeing, rentals, and
food available. We have plenty of snow sport sizes, new equipment, and
lessons with experienced and caring instructors.
Our Bed and Breakfast rooms mix the old historic decor with the new amenities you have come to
expect. Food choices for breakfast and lunch include New England
favorites to vegetarian selections primarily grown from local sources.
Canterbury Farm Outdoor Center
Canterbury Farm offers lodging , cross country skiing, skating, snowshoeing, and landscaping services. Providing each with personal attention to detail, Dave and Linda Bacon maintain the highest standards of quality in the services and materials that they offer.
Recreation and cross country skiing at Canterbury Farm:
° In the winter come and enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating! Our 14 miles of trails are double tracked and corduroyed. Tracks are set for traditional skiing and there are skating lanes on some trails. New top of the line ski equipment was purchased this year.
A complete ski, snowshoe and skate rental shop is available for the whole family. Ski, snowshoe and skate rentals may be interchanged during the day for one fee.
Lessons are available for both skiing and skating. Lessons are taught in small groups or on a private basis. Reservations for the lessons are recommended.
° In the summer and fall you can hike, bike, swim and enjoy our gardens on site. Bring your bikes and kayaks to enjoy the nearby State Parks. October State Forest and three lakes are within two miles of Canterbury Farm.

Route 90 Exit 2: Bear left off ramp to route 20 east. Go 4 miles to LuJohn's Auction Gallery. Turn left on Becket Rd left on Yokum Pond Road right on County Road until you get to Route 8. Turn right (south) 100 feet to Fred Snow Rd.
Note: Mass Tpk to Becket is 4.1 miles. Becket Rd. to Fred Snow Rd. is 4.1 miles. Fred Snow Rd. to Rt. 8 North is 2.3 miles
If snow covers the Becket Road continue on Route 20 east another 6 miles to Fred Snow Road. When you see the bronze deer at Fred Snow Road, do not turn here but continue another 3 miles where Route 8 turns left away from route 20. Another 5 miles on the left (speed limit 25 mph) is Fred Snow Rd. We are 2/10 of a mile on the right.
